AC: :33 < *ac shrugs and sits down on the whelping stoop wrapping her long tail around her forepaws*

"... Vwiskers didn't kill me. She killed Tavros."

Nepeta bites her lip.

"Gamz33 killed me. And ... and Equius."

She reaches out suddenly for Terezi's hand. "But you can't kill him! Purrmise me?"

Terezi suddenly feels heavy. She sits down. This is news. Big news. So Gamzee... but why had he? More than that, would she have done something differently, knowing this? Could she have?

Terezi squeezes Nepeta's hand almost entirely by instinct. "What? Oh. Well, but he killed you and Equius and then there was Kanaya and Sollus missing. They may be dead too."

[nepetaleijon]

"No, Kanaya's okay! I ... don't know about Sollux. But Kanaya's here!"

(The room around them has changed subtly; it isn't quite Terezi's old respiteblock anymore. A different room is slowly seeping in, around the edges.)

[courtroomdragon]

"Kanaya's... here?" Terezi assumes this means dead as well, and slumps a bit further. Who all was left? Were they all really going to just die on that meteor? It seemed... pathetic.

(This she doesn't notice, a bit too wrapped up in her misery.)

She nods. "And Karkat. Only it's ... sort of diffurent for each of us."

(By now it's nearly half Nepeta's new cave: the drawings on her new slate walls are overlapping the old drawings on Terezi's, and a fur pile has engulfed most of the rug.)

Karkat too! Who all did that leave? Terezi wanted to just give up, to be defeated. Let Jack come, let Gamzee finish his rampage. She quit. She just... couldn't handle this any more.

"Oh..." was all the troll said, sliding to the cave's floor and honestly starting to cry now. It was too much. All too much. Everyone was dead.

[nepetaleijon]

"Terezi!"

Nepeta drops to the floor next to her.

"Don't cry. It's okay! Efurything is okay."

[courtroomdragon]

"But you all died! Now... now I failed," Terezi mutters, wanting to lean against Nepeta but also just... Miserable.

"I didn't save anyone, I didn't even avenge you. I'm an awful seer." She just sits there, wondering what to do next. At least, playing sgrub, they'd had a goal. A mission. Now what?

[nepetaleijon]

"No, no, we're not all dead! Just me. Kanaya and Karkat are still alive!"

Well ... sort of, with Karkat.

It's complicated.

Terezi looks up at that and stares at Nepeta. "But you said they were here," and she's not sure what 'here' would be but beyond death and... Wait a second.

"Where are we?" Because she just noticed the surroundings weren't her hive any more. Was this Nepeta's?

"Come on," Nepeta says, and holds out her hand.

"I'll show you."
